• Have an in-depth psychological interview to determine her state of mind regarding the ovulation induction process, the donation of her eggs and then having no further information regarding pregnancy or birth
• Give an in-depth personal and family history (which will be provided to the Recipient once a match has been made)
• Be between the ages of 19 to 31
• Be a non-smoker
• Be free of disease
• Have an up-to-date Pap test (normal test within one year of egg donation)

Once an application is reviewed and accepted, the candidate will receive further testing for:

• Cystic fibrosis gene
• HIV, Hepatitis B and C
• Syphilis and Cytomegalovirus
• Sickle cell, thalassemia, Tay-Sachs and Fragile X

Egg donors cannot be adopted. This is due to the fact that we need a full family/medical history to provide to the recipient couple.

We require a BMI (Body Mass Index) of less than 30 to participate. BMI is measured by using your height and weight. Women with a BMI of 30 or above are considered obese and could potentially have a decreased response to the fertility medications.

Egg donors must also have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED to participate. College educated donors are highly desired by most recipient couples.
